Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to trainers forming strong views on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. The Twins – Mega Medicham

The sign famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected across this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Abandoned as a doll, it became consciousness through sheer hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. Being a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol
