The children's author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
