"Awful" Weather Brings Serious Dangers

A representative described the recent storm as "terrible", with downpours so severe that as much as 15cm (6in) of water accumulated on the streets.

"Last night was really horrendous for the residents. The heavy rains were so powerful... And the winds were so powerful," noted the representative.

Groups have escalated distribution of shelter, blankets and clothes following the truce commenced, but they stress there is continues to be not enough aid reaching those in need.

"Officials are striving constantly to bring in that aid and to distribute it, but the size of the requirements is so immense that we continue to see many thousands of people and children who are genuinely suffering each evening," warned one representative.

Long-Term Challenges and Agreement Terms

The next stage of the truce includes plans for the reconstruction of Gaza, along with political arrangements, the removal of personnel, and other provisions.

Relief groups have highlighted the imperative for "increased and sustained aid to respond to pressing and future needs."
